FAQ

Landscape designers assess outdoor spaces holistically through many lenses, so you get the best results. We assess it from the angles of landscape architecture, horticulture, and landscape construction so the design and layout function seamlessly, form and function combined. Many others in this space are horticulturists or gardeners or contractors — landscape design is a combination of many fields of specialized expertise honed over many years of practice.

We are a family business so every project is handled with a personal touch. Our team utilizes our decade of experience in NYC garden design to ensure each project is successful, from day 1 through installation. Designing and installing outdoor spaces that will be treasured and immensely enjoyed by our clients is simply what we love to do and we can’t imagine doing anything else. While residential landscape architecture is our specialty, we also cater to a growing roster of commercial clients, from hotels and hospitals to private membership clubs.

1. Consultation: We start with a consultation to gather information about your project, what your goals are and share our expertise.

2. Initial Design: From here, we will provide an estimate of the design hours needed to put together an initial design package so we can get things started. This initial design package includes visual concepts and ideas, floor plans, mood boards, a plant palette and options for materials and finishes, furniture, and other elements you are interested in. It also comes with an irrigation plan, plus a lighting plan if desired. This initial design is the road map we will use to create a curated space that reflects your style and personality, so your outdoor space feels like a natural extension of your home. You also have the option to have us create visual renderings of the space so you can better visualize what the finished product will look like.

3. Design Development: We make edits and continue the design process as needed. Each project is a little bit different, so we can give you a better idea of what to expect during our initial consultation and follow up meetings. Once the design is complete, we can create customized drawings and plans needed for approval and installation.

4. Installation: Once the design package and agreements are finalized, we begin the exciting stage of bringing your space to life using our professional staff and trusted collaborators.
